“This is our dressing room,” Linda explained. “It’s not very fancy, but it works

for us!”

Barbie and Teresa looked at the dressing tables and the costumes lined up on

racks. Some of the costumes were glamorous, and some looked old and ragged.

Other costumes seemed funny.

“Costumes and makeup help our ballerinas get into character,” Linda explained.

After changing into their practice leotards and dance shoes, Barbie and Teresa

followed Linda to the morning dance class. The room was lined with mirrors, and

there was a dance bar just like the one in their dance studio.

“Even professional ballerinas practice a lot,” Linda explained. “Right now,

everyone is warming up.”

“Do you have a teacher?” Barbie asked.

“Of course!” Linda said. “We never outgrow our teachers. Ms. Isabelle will be

here soon.”

Linda introduced Barbie and Teresa to some more dancers as everyone prepared

for class.
